Sean Dixon is a senior transfer student from Orange County. He is a Communication major who aspires to pursue a career in marketing and sales for a skateboard company such as Vans and Volcom. He enjoys giving back to the community and helping out other students who are in need of a helping hand. Sean is also an avid volleyball player and can be seen playing on the sand courts in Isla Vista or coaching high school students in his free time.

Advice for new transfers: Be willing to step outside your comfort zone. There are many opportunities out there to get involved in various academic and research positions. Doing things that you are not used to doing is important for meeting new people and growing as an individual. Go to events you are invited to even if it is something that isn’t within your interests. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there because you might stumble upon something that you are very passionate about!
