Lezli is a first generation transfer student from Antelope Valley College. She is a fourth-year psychology major who is passionate about helping her community and fellow peers. She hopes to pursue a career that will allow her to serve and work with underrepresented populations. She enjoys meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning new things.

Advice for new transfers: You belong here! Coming in as a third year transfer student can be intimidating and sometimes you can’t help but feel like you don’t belong but you worked so hard and made it this far, know that this campus is yours! Make it whatever you want it to be. There are many different communities and organizations on campus that you can find your place in that will make UCSB feel like home. Ask questions and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Transfer students only have two years, make the best of them!
