Bio

Karen is a Senior who transferred to UCSB from Palomar College in San Diego. She would like to pursue a PhD in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, with the hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist. She is currently a research assistant in the Psychology Department focusing on factors that lead to student success. Karen enjoys going to new places with friends, hiking, gardening and binging a good show.

Advice for Transfers: Your time at UCSB will go by faster than you think, so jump into UCSB life and get involved! It can be hard adjusting to the University environment, but actively joining clubs, orgs, and working towards finding your community will make the biggest impact on your time here at UCSB. Don’t forget to take care of yourself in the process, school can be overwhelming at times so remember to check in with yourself and give yourself what you need.
