Bio

Dominique Mihaljevic is a 4th year transfer student from Santa Barbara City College. At Santa Barbara City college she was a student athlete for the Women’s soccer team and was part of the EOPS club and program. She is studying Communication and Applied Psychology with hopes to become involved with Journalism and News Broadcasting in the future. She is also the Co-Founder and President of Association of Multi-Ethnic Persons which is a cultural organization that focuses on the inclusivity of all ethnicities and sexualities while also standing in solidarity with marginalized communities. She is now working as a Peer Educator at the Transfer Student Center, as well as a Student Life Intern at Student Engagement and Leadership. In her spare time, Dominique likes playing soccer, tennis, yoga, meditating, hiking, running with her dog, surfing, and creative writing.

Advice for Transfers:  Finding your community within UCSB can really help make your college experience worthwhile. Many organizations are always looking for more students to join, so participating in events and clubs that you find interesting can be a great way to create lifelong friendships. Taking advantage of your campus resources can really help make your college experience more efficient. The career center, library, print rooms, food bank, EOP, TSC, and the OSC are all places and resources that are put in place for you to utilize and help you along your journey.
