Adam Arnold

Peer Educator (2020-2021)

Bio

Adam is a senior transfer student from Santa Monica College. He is a non-traditional, first-generation student and is originally from a small town north of Detroit, Michigan. He is currently pursuing his BA in Music Studies at UCSB and enjoys learning about new types of music, making electronic music, and performing as a DJ. Adam aspires to combine his love of music and business to be an entertainment lawyer and or a record executive. His favorite record label of all time is the soul/RnB label Motown records, and when he's not studying or making music, he can be caught catching vibes from the beach, watching comedy movies, exercising, or practicing piano in hopes of one day being able to play live jazz piano. The greatest life advice he's received and loves to share was from the singer Mr. Bobby Womack, “Ya gotta go through it to get to it, that’s with anything!”

Advice for Transfers: Seek out and keep an open mind to the many available resources on campus. I’m still learning about new ones all the time, and you never know who might be able to help you or point you in the right direction. We’re all connected in multiple ways, and there are lots of people on campus who want to see you succeed, myself included.
